Louis Marineau & Sons was established in 1936 by Louis Marineau. As his family grew and his three sons, Brian, Les and Mark grew older, they helped their dad in whatever capacity of which they were capable, learning at his knee the difference between a painter who is just doing a job, and a craftsman who takes pride in his work. All three sons have remained active in the business, taking over fully upon Louis' retirement and sadly, his death in 2001. Because of their long history in the business, they all bring an amazing amount of knowledge to bear on any situation which may arise, and therefore the solution that is most advantageous to their valued customers.

The Fourth Generation is also now involved, as several of the Officers' children work full time for the company, learning as their fathers did, from old time craftsmen. The company is very proud of its history and its family tradition. This is reflected in our company logo. The logo embodies the past era with its cameo of a modern day painter with a roller pole. We feel that the cameo's background connote the period of the '30s and the '40s. The bunting ribbon we feel depicts that age of early America. The bold block letters of the Louis Marineau name are indicative of the lettering on Louis Marineau's first trucks. The small bunting ribbon below the cameo with the word "Sons" on it shows the entrance of the boys into the company and can also highlight the fourth generation's being part of the company.

Brian, Les, and Mark feel they are fortunate to be trained by many old-time professional craftsmen, which they feel has been the cornerstone of the quality that they provide. They also, however, keep up with the most modern innovations in painting, whether it be products, techniques, or equipment. With the Painting and Decorating Contractors of America (PDCA), they are constantly improving their education and professionalism. We feel that we are a company with an excellent balance between the past and the present.

Louis Marineau & Sons has a long list of repeat customers. This fact attests to the care and quality that trademarks any Marineau job, as well as the honesty and integrity that the brothers exhibit. We also count many resort customers that call no other firm for their painting and decorating work, and have stated on numerous occasions that they "call Marineau's because I know I will get a first class job for a fair price."

The PDCA has been a strong and effective voice in educating the public to the value of utilizing professional and law abiding contractors for their painting work, and discouraging the use of fly-by-night painters who circumvent the law for their own purposes.
